Ramanan Venkatraman also known as Ven Ram is a Producer, Musician and Song Writer based in New Delhi, India. Ram is a person with immense love for sound and music. He has been active in the music circle since a very young age from the beginning of his musical career. His knowledge for music and sound grew over a period of time and this led to him developing his own style of guitar playing and composing.

While studying audio engineering in the Chennai, he got the opportunity to meet and work with eminent artists, music directors, film directors and audio engineers. Owing to his creative working style and strong technical base, Ram has earned a lot of popularity and appreciation from numerous musicians as well as established studios.
 

GUITARIST
Ramanan is also a Guitar Player, Musician and Songwriter and has been one of the crucial member of the band "Dementia India". Apart from writing music, composing and arranging, he has done all the production, marketing and social networking for the band. With great love for progressive music, he has been creating some magical moments with the band.

12th July, 2013, Ramanan got endorsed by one of the biggest guitar manufacturing companies, “Ibanez Guitars”. The endorsement included a brand new guitar and a contract to be a part of the artist list.

AUDIO ENGINEER
Taking formal training from A.R.Rahman’s School of Music in Audio Engineering, he had this vision to set up his own project studio in New Delhi. Arcube Records was then formed.

Having his own recording studio constantly reinventing himself and nurturing his creative instincts with absolute ease.
 

COMMERCIAL PROJECTS
Ram has also recorded as a session’s guitar player for several feature and short films. He is well known for his commercial projects and studio recordings for bands and companies of New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore- Adobe, Coke, DELL, Indian Health Organization, Lava Mobiles, Murugappa Group, IndiainMyBag.com, Group M, 24Frames media, McCann Eriksson (Music for iPhone Game app)

 

Movie score and post production for movies - The Dark Tunnel, T and Lilly and A Witch Hunt. Background score and foley sound for various documentaries by Doordarshan (Sufiana Kalaam), Shubhankar Bhandari's 'Sharanya'. Each of the clients remains closely associated with the studio, for the quality service and production. 
 

INDIAN CLASSICAL ARTIST
His love and knowledge of musical instruments is diverse and this has enabled him to gain basic understanding and functionality over both Indian and Western Instruments. His recent discovery is the Indian Classical Instrument called “Hansaveena”. He is under the guidance of Pandit Barun Kumar Pal who invented the instrument and is solely responsible for popularising it the world over. Pandit Barun Kumar Pal is the senior most disciple of Bharat Ratna Pandit Ravi Shankar. Ramanan has expanded his horizons with this instrument and is developing a new dimension with his creative abilities.
 

FOUNDER - SADHANA SCHOOL OF MUSIC, DANCE & ARTS
On the 12th of January, 2014, Ramanan along with two of his close associates, Radhika Samson (Odissi Dancer & Sitar Player) & Pranav Ramji (Tabla Player), started a Performing arts school called, Sadhana – School of Music, Dance & Arts. The school has more than 150 students learning various art forms. Courses offered at Sadhana are very diverse. It’s teaching philosophy is based on experiential learning. Sadhana focuses on building performing skills and thus organizes events every month to give opportunities to the young budding talents to perform. All these innovation came from the Ram’s personal attachment towards music and stage performances.

Ramanan has been a part of the music scene in Delhi for more than 10 years now. His creativity and the love of music instantly gave him popularity. His endeavour to explore new sounds attracts new listeners and dedicated followers.
