Fit to Survive

Fit to Survive, the album has 15 tracks which were written, arranged and produced in 24 hours. Interesting enough? The album explores the concept of humanity's birth and traces its journey so far, while looking into its possible futures.

The album has an interesting narrative to intrigue the senses, indulging the mind into the complexities and conjectures, that are ridden in the human philosophy of consciousness, while musically exploring multiple genres.

Fit to Survive, will be released online on multiple platforms by the end of August 2020.

WAY

WORLD ABOVE YOU

Way - World Above You, is an album that has been put together to present the love for what I do best in front of the world in a subtle manner. This album holds a special place in my heart as a lot of years  have gone by doing what i have been always wanted to do and finally it is time to pick the most important moments of my life and showcase it in the open. Every song means dearly to me as these relate to a very specific memory, each unique in it's own way. A lifetime of albums is not enough to portray one's detailed emotions, however, this is a humble try to bring out some of the best over the last 8 years of my life as a musician.

Way is a compilation album of the various tracks as milestones or stepping-stones of Ramanan's Journey so far as a musician since 2009.

The aim of the album is to share the emotions and major moments of one's life, which shapes the person's character and personality.

ARTeries -

A Route To The Past

by Ramanan Venkatraman

The Debut and Unique Album by Ramanan was this experimental album where the ideas and emotions of a human being go hand in hand with each other and is shown in the most apt manner. ARTeries - A Route To The Past, is a conceptual album built on the grounds of constant emotion flow off of a human being.

This album contains 5 tracks in total and a total play time of 1 hour. The uniqueness about the album in terms of production as well is that it was recorded in a single take in the studio. There have been no edits to the playing what so ever.

"I could go on and on and never stop, but I just felt that people are not used to listening to tracks which are more than 3 minutes on an average. I just wish to bring in a culture of listening to long tracks if things keep changing in them and they don't know what to expect. It can get exciting! I honestly, wish I could play more."

Concept: -

ARTeries - A Route To Past, is an album based on the idea of how one can link himself / herself to their past in just an instance, if let free. The name comprises of two things, ART, which gives an idea as to how an art form can be interpreted differently by different people and the basic characteristics of it being so vast that anyone can connect to it if only they wish to. Secondly, Arteries, which is the most strongest route of survival in a human body. The word is self explanatory and has a deep connection with the album.

The concept of this album is to showcase improvisation in different Modes of Scales but being in the same pitch. The tracks, on an average, are 12 minutes long. It was intended to be more by Ramanan, as its a flow emotions and they never stop. However, they had to stop somewhere, where it won't get monotonous for the listeners. This is what Ramanan had to say when asked about why the tracks are long, "I could go on and on and never stop, but I just felt that people are not used to listening to tracks which are more than 3 minutes on an average. I just wish to bring in a culture of listening to long tracks if things keep changing in them and they don't know what to expect. It can get exciting! I honestly, wish I could play more." The idea is not to showcase the skills one has but to showcase the love for music and the instrument.

Naming a track makes it difficult for a person to think from his or her perspective, so the tracks are named differently and in a way that anyone can interpret the tracks in anyway they wish to.

"The tracks are not edited at all and are just the way they were played."

"There is an influence of Indian Classical Music, but it is not followed to the core."

Advice: -

Since the album is an instrumental album and not everyone is in the practice to listen to such tracks, it is advised that you listen to these tracks with your eyes closed and feel relaxed. The aim is to express emotions. Music is the best medium to do so.
